Cécile Briançon is a French-American ceramicist living and working in Brooklyn, NY.
Each of her pieces is entirely handcrafted. Throughout the whole process of creation, her work has travelled between her hands many times.
She loves the slow, meditative process of handbuilding with clay and she hopes her ceramics will bring you as much joy as she has had creating it.
As any other handmade objects, these too need special care
Handwashing is recommended
Not oven or microwave safe
The bases of the pieces are left unglazed and can have a bit of a rough texture (although I sand them with a diamond pad) please be cautious when placing on furniture
Consider placing a cloth between your vase filled with water and the furniture as the piece may feel slightly moist on the bottom over time
